# Release validation and reconciliation: ShelfShare 3.4 (Swap & Handoff)

**How:** an AI agent drove the released Android build on a test device with two test accounts (requester, owner). It ran every PRD v2.0.1 use case and its SIM v2 scenario, captured each screen and the network calls, and compared them with the PRD, the SIM, the engineering docs and the ticket history.
**Rule:** a difference is not automatically a defect. Each one is classified and reconciled, and nothing is deleted.

## Run summary
| UC | Result | Note |
|---|---|---|
| UC-1, 2, 2b, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 | ✅ Match | Screens and event order match the SIM log |
| UC-4 | 🔁 Differs: **intentional change** | Fixed 30-min slots instead of 1-hour windows |
| UC-3c | ⛔ Missing: **omitted** | No counter-offer button |
| (none) | ➕ Extra: **undocumented addition** | "Want list" heart on book cards |

## Finding V1 · intentional change: 30-min slots (UC-4)
- **Observed:** the slot picker offers `17:00 · 17:30 · 18:00 …`; the SIM offers `17:00–18:00` windows. **[FACT]** screenshot `val/uc4-picker.png`
- **Traced to:** an engineering ticket comment from week 9 ("venues asked for predictable shelf traffic"). **[FACT]**
- **Classified:** intentional. Confirmed by Jo and accepted by Ana. **[DECISION]**
- **Reconciled:** PRD 2.1 UC-4 rewritten; decision log DL-4; SIM v2 window picker shows a *Reconciled → 30-min slots* note. The 1-hour design is kept in history, not erased.

## Finding V2 · omitted: counter-offer (UC-3c)
- **Observed:** no counter-offer action on incoming requests; the API returns 404 for `swaps.counter`. **[FACT]**
- **Traced to:** R7 "build last"; dropped from the 3.4 scope in week 10. **[FACT]**
- **Classified:** omitted on purpose for this release, but still wanted. **[DECISION]** Ana
- **Reconciled:** UC-3c status → *Backlog BL-1, original intent preserved*. The SIM keeps the scenario with a *Not in 3.4* badge. **Not deleted.**

## Finding V3 · undocumented addition: Want list
- **Observed:** a ♡ on book cards. Tapping it adds the title to a "Want list", and a push arrives when a matching title is listed nearby. Not in the PRD, SIM or engineering docs. **[FACT]**
- **Traced to:** a developer's side ticket in week 11 (re-uses the Notify quota). **[FACT]**
- **AI flag:** pushes at *listing* time can reveal when a neighbour adds books (a weak activity signal, similar to I1 Quiet profile). **[AI]** **[HYPOTHESIS]**
- **Classified:** undocumented addition, kept, privacy review requested. **[DECISION]** Ana + Ravi
- **Reconciled:** documented as UC-10 (status *Shipped, under review*); added to the SIM as scenario `wantlist` with a rationale entry marked *Origin: added during development*.

## Result
PRD 2.1 now matches what shipped. History shows v1 → v2 → 2.0.1 → 2.1. The backlog holds BL-1, and the idea archive keeps `live-proximity` (v1) with its revisit conditions.
